So Saturday night after the sale we were all beat and went to Panda Express. It was good until about 2 hours later when the food poisoning set in. Faith, Me, Tim, Grace, Ian were all affected and let's just say the Alexander house got a little crazy.
Well the next morning was church and I had to do the transition between worship and offering as well as be nice, smile and make people feel welcome before service (between trips to visit my little porceline friend). In the transition I talked about God being greater than anything we could possibly be up against ... about magnifing God to make our opposition small. I don't know about anyone else, but it was what I needed to hear that morning. Overall I think people were blessed though all and the services went well in releasing the new "Heart for the House" campaign. Above all significant life change occured and many came to Christ ... what more could you want.

Yeah, it was a great experience...the first time I'd ever had a garage sale. It was an interesting feeling...seeing people rummage through your things & offer you a buck for something you paid $30 or more dollars for? And I tried not to take it personal when they didn't like something...like picked it up, looked at it and frowned. You're like what?! I loved that shirt!!! After they leave, you go over pick it up and put it back in your closet!!! I mean I didn't want to sell half that stuff anyhow...lol!! JK, but seriously! Although, we expect people to practically give us stuff for free because they're selling it in their driveway? Whatever! Well, I'm not really complaining because we did make a good profit....I think I'd do it again!!!
And most of all, we did get to minister to some pretty special people. It was fun overall..sweat, blood & all!!
Yeah, the stomach stuff was crazy.
Always pray over your food or atleast thank God for it!!! I think we forgot that night..LOL!! It was bad, but it made me so thankful that for the most part that rarely happens. I know in some parts of the country that's a daily thing for people.
I was still grateful we had that $Money to eat out on....from something that was sitting in our garage collecting dust...hey it bought us dinner!
Oh & I do want to say I love giving a way free stuff....that's the usual for me. Clean out the closet and find someone to give it too, so having the garage sale was quite an experience!!!
I also wanted to comment on the transition in the video venue that morning. It was powerful & just what I needed to hear! God is Greater...Greater than any circumstance....and He lives on the inside of us....it's awesome to be reminded of that..so Sean can you remind me daily?! Well, thank goodness you do & I do..when things get tuff or even if they're not tuff we must always keep his Greatness & what He is able to do before our eyes at all times!!!
Greater is He that is In us....
